The City of Tampa is committed to achieving a goal of zero fatalities and severe injuries on our roads. Vision Zero is a collaborative approach that integrates data, demographics, roadway design, and human behavior to achieve the goal of zero traffic fatalities in the City. Vision Zero is part of Mayor Castor's Transforming Tampa's Tomorrow (T3) initiative and a key component of Tampa M.O.V.E.S.
Throughout 2021, the City of Tampa will be developing a Vision Zero Action Plan focused on steps the City can take to address roadway safety issues. The Action Plan will be developed with the help of a Vision Zero Task Force comprised of City leadership and staff, agency partners, and related organizations. Learn more about this effort here.
We are currently drafting the VZ Action Plan, which will be complete by the end of 2021.
